State of repair

The farmhouse was completely renovated in 1996 and now it is in excellent state of repair and ready to be moved in. In the process of restoration, there were used mainly the materials of the ancient ruin. The facades of the house are in exposed stone with brick cornices; while the annex was completely plastered and painted. The roofs, waterproof and thermally insulated, are covered with the typical Roman tiles. During the last renovation, it was not possible to retrieve the wooden beams, except in the large and beautiful living room on the first floor of the farmhouse, which is characterized by a beautiful “a capanna” ceiling and a generous volume of ancient walls. All the fixtures such as internal doors, windows and shutters are wooden. The windows in seasoned chestnut wood are equipped with double glazing for better energy containment. The floors are tiled in Castel Viscardo terracotta.

All utilities are present: electricity, water supply, guaranteed by the municipal waterworks + the possibility to draw from a reserve, connected to a local dam + underground tank for rainwater collection (100,000 l.), LPG central heating plus 3 fireplaces in the farmhouse and 2 stoves (wood + pellets).
